“Piecework” will invite the viewer to think about exactly this idea. How do fragments of any kind come together to become something other than just a collection of things? How do disparate pieces become "more"? In this exhibition you will get a chance to contemplate how artists- working in different media- accomplish this feat.

Featured in this exhibition will be many of our gallery artists, each of whom has approached this concept of "piecework" in their own way. These artists include Kim Collins, Nancy Hall, Mary James, Billy L. Keen, Lyn Belisle Kurtin, Sara McKethan, Tim McMeans, Marcia Roberts, Steven G. Smith, Stefani Job Spears, Sheila Swanson, Cris Thompson, and Bethany Ramey Trombley.

 
The Opening Reception for this exhibit will be held on Saturday, March 7, from 2 to 4 pm. You will be able to meet the artists on Saturday, March 28, from 2 to 4 pm., with the Artist Talk beginning at 3 pm.

 
The exhibit will be available for viewing during our First Friday Wine Down on April 3, from 5 to 7 pm, and the exhibit will run through April 11. We of course will welcome you to the gallery anytime during the exhibit's run to see how these artists have made "one" from "many."
