Peter Szarmach
Peter's long passion for nature photography brings us stunning studies of trees as living sculptures. From his striking "Big Tree" - a majestic oak captured in dramatic black and white - to his "Aspen Abstract" series that transforms forest groves into rhythmic compositions of light and shadow.
Peter's work reflects his unique perspective as both a retired graphic designer and a dedicated naturalist. His "Natural Abstract" series reduces organic forms to their essential elements, finding beauty in weathered wood and bark patterns that most would overlook. A longtime San Antonio resident, Peter serves on the board of the San Antonio Art League & Museum and is part of the River Art Group collective. His photography has been featured in several self-published books, including a recent collaboration exploring the health benefits of trees.
